Epimedium Extract Introduction
Epimedium Extract (also known as Horny Goat Weed extract) is a powdered extract obtained from the dried aerial parts of Epimedium brevicornum, Epimedium sagittatum, Epimedium pubescens and Epimedium koreanum through ethanol–water extraction, concentration, purification and separation. It is standardized to 5.0%–98.0% icariin and also contains other prenylated flavonoids. Icariin and its derivatives (icariside II, icaritin) are widely studied in research for their flavonoid activity, and the genus has a long history of traditional use.
